I've decided I want to loose weight. So I've started to cut back on the junk food and have started riding my bike and jogging around the block.My muscles arent feeling it xD theyre sore. Wish me luck guys!

i dont think im ever going to draw again. I got a comment this morning saying I draw like a nine year old and to stop drawing till I learn how to draw like an adult. It hurt so bad. They said they werent trying to be mean or talk out of their ass they just wanted to say the truth. I’ll brb im busy crying :[ To entertain you i put some of my art here tell me if you think i draw like a 9 year old and be honest because I just may stop for good

Drawing Tutuorial:Brendon Urie's younger days

I got a request from a friend to do this. So I figured I'd do it

Step One: Put iTunes on.

Step Two: Reference Picture

Here's the picture she wanted me to draw. I usually like working from HQ pictures so we'll see how this comes out. If you have trouble making your shades real use photoshop or something to gray scale it ;]

Step 3: Supplies

This is my sketch book. All my latelst Portratis starting with vampire Ryan are on this. IT'S AHMAZING. It's textured and everything blends well.

From left to right: Mechanical Pencil with 0.7 lead (This is what I'll be drawing/shading with),Pitt pen(used for dark areas of the face(inside of the mouth,pupils,nostrils,ect), Eraser stick(used to eraser mistakes of course!) Paper stump(for blending small areas) Cotton ball(for blending larger areas) Kneaded Rubber Eraser(for picking out highlights) Hand Sanitizer(for keeping your hands clean)

You should also have a scanner because a drawing looks best scanned in but if you dont a camera will do. Now onto the drawing and note my camera needs to rest so I'm using my webcam to take the WIP pictures.

Step Four: Outline Part

When I outline I always start at the bottom and work my way up. so I outlined his neck,part of his shirt and the bottom of his head which looks like a deformed U dont you think? lawls

Now we add his mouth. I can explain how i do mouths it just happens. follow the shape the best you can. Keep in mind in this picture he's making a face so his lip is slightly curved

Same rules apply for his nose. Notice you can see one nostril more than the other. this is the mistake a lot of people make. you dont want to outline too much of the nose or it looks silly. so what I got here is pretty sufficent

Sorry for the awkward picture my fan moved it xD. But anyways eyes. this is what makes or breaks a drawing. so make sure you draw them right or its not going to look like the person at all.I also add guide lines for his "t-section"

Now add outlines for his eyebrows and his hair. Now does it look like Brendon?

Step 5: Shading

I shade from left to right since im right handed for the sake of the tutorial im only going to explain how to shade one side of his face

Okay using my pitt pen I shaded his pupil. Everything else was done in pencil. Man he had big eyebrows back in the day xD. Okay So I shaded his eye iris dark on the top for shadow of his upper lid. best way to shade is to just do it blend it and pick out the highlights. most of this was done with the paper stump. some the cotton ball though(which was ripped) dont forget his tearduct and the white of the eyeball is not really white it reflects light and has shadows too.

Pitt pen for his nostril. I cant explain how to shade the nose. You just DO IT haha. where its dark shade it and blend it. where its light leave it be

Lips make yoru lines soft and leave a highlight on the lower lip.then darken any shades on his face. Shade his clothes(which i hate doing btw) and start on his hair (FUN!)

with hair i put alayer blend it with my cotton ball add another layer then repeat until i like it.

Just follow the steps over again to do his left side of his face. I'll post a completed picture soon!

Well Hai Thur!

I know I havent been posting much lately. I've been busy re-reading the Harry Potter series (im on goblet of fire now) and working on drawings here and there. I got some new art supplies for my birthday so im itching to try them out.

Thanks to my friends that wished me a happy birthday I'm still yet to recieve a few gifts ;]. So bad news I can't see Blink/Fob/Panic on thursday mucho bummed :[ but I DO get to see all time low in october =]. More bad news my laptop died on me again and I just had to get a new one(thank goodness my mom has good credit at that rental store). I'm still putting everything on it, all my music, all my programs everything. I dont even have photoshop and no photoshop is a BADDDDDDDDD thing for me. I love my photoshop. I may transfer some more files over later. I'm working on posting art on my LJ(http://permanetjetlag.livejournal.com) yeah I know I spelt permanent wrong. bad typo. I'm working on watermarking videos too and who knows what else. right now im trying to make sure I still have all my cool effects in movie maker.

So much to do so little time

as a kid I always dreaded my birthday. my birthday meant the end of summer was drawing near. no different now that I'm older. Soon it will be the end of August and a few people that I love very much will be leaving again. I hate it that college seperates people :/
